Rights and deliverables: connect every file to its evidence

Keep the connection between production files and the documents that support their use, from source material to publication or partner handoff.

Map materials and participants

List the rights-bearing elements before assembling the final package. A file alone is not evidence of permission.

  • Authors, performers, music and masters.
  • Images, likenesses, voices and other source material.
  • Territories, terms and intended methods of use.

Connect deliverables to evidence

For each result, record the basis for use, the location of supporting evidence and the responsible person. Keep unresolved questions visible before handoff.

  • Identify the file and its source.
  • Link the relevant document and approved version.
  • Record who confirms the evidence.

Define the handover package

Agree the final versions, source materials, metadata and supporting records required for the next participant.

This is a planning guide, not a contract or confirmation that rights have been cleared. The register supports the actual agreements; restricted evidence is shared only through the agreed channel.
